Energy Code Compliance
Quest’s engineers have provided Title 24 compliance documentation on many projects across California. Compliance is typically performed using the EnergyPro (DOE2.1e) software. Title 24 clients include small residential clients, retail, and large education facilities.
Our experts are prepared to utilize COMcheck materials for commercial and high-rise residential energy code compliance. COMcheck includes the forms and checklists for documenting compliance which are required by many municipalities for Local Code Compliance. These types of documentation can be provided by Quest Energy Group on projects as part of an energy analysis project or independently without further analysis.
Quest Energy Group can provide modeling services focusing on energy-efficient property in commercial buildings for certification of the energy and power cost savings related to § 179D of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) enacted in § 1331 of the 2005 Energy Policy Act (EPAct 2005) and noted in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Notice 2006-52. Specifically, § 179D provides federal tax deductions for energy-efficient property related to a commercial building’s envelope; interior lighting; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC); and service hot water (SHW) systems.
